DSNUTILB recover options


The following options are valid when using the Db2 DSNUTILB Recover utility:

DSNUTILB_SITE_TYPE

Specify the site type for recoveries when using DSNUTILB as the recover utility.

Value

Description

LOCAL

Recover the local site image copy (DSNUTILB keyword LOCALSITE).

RECOVERY

Recover the remote site image copy (DSNUTILB keyword RECOVERYSITE).

DSNUTILB_SORTKEYS

Specifies that index keys should be sorted in parallel with the reload and build phases to improve performance. Specify YES to sort the index keys in parallel. Otherwise, specify NO.

WORKDDN specifications are ignored when you specify YES.

We recommend using this option if you need to recover more than one index.

DSNUTILB_STATISTICS

Gather index statistics from the Db2 catalog. Specify YES to gather statistics. Otherwise, specify NO.

DSNUTILB_REPORT

Print the statistics collected (the ACCESSPATH and SPACE statistics reports). This option is valid only with STATISTICS YES.

DSNUTILB_UPDATE

Update the catalog tables, as follows. This option is valid only with REPORT YES.

Do not update the catalog tables.

ALL

Insert all the collected statistics in the Db2 catalog tables.

ACCESSPATH

Update only those columns used for access path selection.

SPACE

Update only those columns that provide statistics about the status of the target indexes.

DSNUTILB_KEYCARD

Collect the values in all of the key column combinations for the target indexes. This option is valid only with STATISTICS YES.

DATASET_SIZING

Specifies the method by which object sizes are determined. Statistics in the BMCSTATS table are collected by DASD MANAGER PLUS and optionally by BMC AMI Copy.

CATALOG

Use the Db2 and integrated catalog facility (ICF) catalog information for sizing purposes at the time of JCL generation. Doing so requires sizing calculations at the time of JCL generation.

DEFAULTS

Use existing default sizing information from the Work File options established in the Recovery options.

BMCSTATS

Use statistics from the BMCSTATS tables.

DSNUTILB_PARALLEL (SPE2010)

Specify the maximum number of objects to be processed in parallel.

DSNUTILB_TAPEUNITS (SPE2010)

Specify the maximum number of tape units that the utility allocates.

DSNUTILB_LISTDEF (SPE2010)

Enables you to group database objects into reusable lists.
