USELOGS=(ACT1,ACT2,ARC1,ARC2)

This option specifies the order in which to read active and archive logs. The default is (ACT1,ACT2,ARC1,ARC2).

You can override the USELOGS value at runtime by specifying the RESOURCE-SELECTION LOGS syntax on the OPTION command.

Values for USELOGS are as follows:

  • ACT1 indicates the primary active log file.
  • ACT2 indicates the dual (secondary) active log file.
  • ARC1 indicates the primary archive log file.
  • ARC2 indicates the dual (secondary) archive log file.
