Strategies for point-in-time recovery

BMC AMI Recover is often used to return a set of table spaces and their indexes to a prior point in time, which you can accomplish by using the TOLOGPOINT/TORBA or TOCOPY options.

BMC AMI Recover allows several innovative ways to speed up and plan for this type of recovery, such as use of the BACKOUT option and use of Instant Snapshot copies.
