Methods of executing SQL statements


BMC AMI Log Master uses the High-speed Apply Engine to execute SQL statements, including specific methods that generate and execute SQL statements for certain situations, and general methods to execute any set of SQL statements. BMC AMI Log Master provides methods for SQL execution in the BMC AMI Log Master online interface, in the ALPMAIN and APTBMAIN batch interfaces, and some methods in both online and batch interfaces.

You can control how BMC AMI Log Master responds to SQL codes as it executes SQL statements. To specify limited SQL code handling, you include an Exec SQL step in your work ID. To specify more extensive SQL code handling, you generate High-speed Apply Engine JCL through the online interface or by coding High-speed Apply Engine JCL independently.
