Overview of auditing log information

Manually achieving a meaningful audit is tedious and difficult. Because Db2 records every data change in the log, a solution is to use the log as an information source. With BMC AMI Log Master, you can search the Db2 log and save the retrieved information in a data set. Then, you can use that information to print a report quickly and easily. These auditing tasks are often performed to audit Db2 applications.

The BMC AMI Log Master online interface guides you through steps for specifying search criteria to select specific log records. Filters let you narrow your searches to specific users, tables, plans, or even column or value changes.

BMC AMI Log Master generates reports via a comprehensive reporting facility. You can select from a list of convenient standard default report formats with a choice of presentation, such as by user, job name, plan name, and so on.
