All AMS DEFINE operations that BMC AMI Utilities perform (except space-specific DEFINE operations) are driven from a model DEFINE statement which you can customize and save to the checkpoint dataset. You can modify this member to set the basic format of the Managing-the-model-AMS-define. 

Unless otherwise noted, the variables for the data set allocation automation control points are read-only. The automation component ignores any changes that you make to the values of these variables.
