IFDISCARDS

The IFDISCARDS option allows you to specify a return code that the BMC AMI Load product uses. The product uses the code upon successful completion of the load job when it discards one or more input records.

You can specify any integer from 0 through 7.

BMC AMI Load always ends with the highest return code assigned during the load job. For more information, see Job-completion-and-return-codes.

Restrictions

This option is not compatible with DSNUTILB syntax. If DSNUTILB processes this option, an error might occur. 

Specifying the default

You can specify the default for the IFDISCARDS command option in your installation options module by using the +DISCARDRC installation option. BMC AMI Load was shipped with a default value of 0 for this option. The command option overrides the default that is in the installation options module.

This keyword also overrides the +DISCARDRC parameter specified in the LODPARMS DD.
