+ZIIP_OFFLOAD

(SPE2107)

The +ZIIP_OFFLOAD parameter controls zIIP offload of eligible work. Eligible work is defined and controlled by the utility but subject to zOS dispatching protocols. The configured value can be overridden in any particular utility execution by supplying the parameter in the specific job.

The values are defined as follows:

0

When n is 0, it is interpreted as 100 percent. If this parameter has never been configured, the default is 0 or 100 percent offload.

99

Where n is an integer from 1 to 99 depicting the offload percentage of eligible zIIP work.

-1

To disable zIIP processing, specify -1; it is not recommended as it may have a negative impact on performance.

Restrictions

The +ZIIP_OFFLOAD parameter does not control zIIP OFFLOAD initiated by an external process such as DB2 SQL.

Important

For the rules that apply to parameter syntax, see Parameter syntax rules.
