+WRLOG

(SPE2005)

The +WRLOG global parameter specifies whether to enable or disable the writing of diagnostic log records.
These log records are used to notify replication tools that the base tables have been changed through BMC AMI Utilities. These records are written regardless of whether the object is replicated or not.

The values are defined as follows:

NO

(Default) Disables REPAIR WRITELOG processing.

YES

Enables REPAIR WRITELOG processing. (BMC.DB2.SPE2401) If SQLID is configured, the specified +SQLID user ID will execute the REPAIR WRITELOG.

Important

Specifying +WRLOG(YES):

  • Invokes DSNUTILB REPAIR to write the log record.
  • BMC AMI Reorg and BMC AMI Loadwill write log records under the following conditions:
    • (BMC.DB2.SPE2204) BMC AMI Reorg when rows are discarded
    • All BMC AMI loads with the exception of LOAD RESUME YES SHRLEVEL CHANGE
  • (BMC.DB2.SPE2401) If SmartSwitch with specified BMCSYSADM parameter executes AMI, the BMCSYSADM is not passed to AMI. The DSNUTILB REPAIR uses specified SQLID value.

Important

For the rules that apply to parameter syntax, see Parameter syntax rules.
