+SVRJCLDISK

The +SVRJCLDISK parameter specifies the DD name to override the location of the disk (or DASD) server job JCL. Normally, the job contains no DD and this would name the member in the NGTSVR PDS specified in the

BMC AMI Utilities

 configuration.

SVRJCLDISK.png

The values are defined as follows:

SVRDISK

Default DD or member name for the disk server JCL

ddname

An alternative DD or member name for the disk server JCL

If the ddname specified in this parameter is not valid, the product issues message NGTY118 indicating that the ddname was not found, and processing terminates with a return code of 8.

Example
+SVRJCLDISK(DSERVJCL)

DSERVJCL normally names a member in the PDS named by the NGTSVR DD allocated in the BMC AMI Utilities installation configuration job. You can override the parameter value in the product JCL.

You can override the whole scheme in a product job by adding the DD name DSERVJCL pointing to a data set containing the disk server JCL. To do this, make the following change to the JCL:

//DSERVJCL DD DSN=prefix.NGTSVR,DISP=SHR

Without this specified DSERVJCL, disk server JCL comes from member DSERVJCL from the NGTAUTO data set specified in the job (if it was not changed at installation time).
