+DELETEOUTPUT
The +DELETEOUTPUT parameter value is checked when a job completes and is marked as COMPLETE.
If you have specified the YES value:
- All server files (WK, INFO, OUT, and RGTS), the Status IDB, and the Utility Entry are deleted.
- Message NGTB268 is written to CDBPRINT indicating these deletions.
If you encounter problems with a job after setting this parameter to YES, try to run job again because the Journal output will have been purged.
The values are defined as follows:
NO | (default) Even after successful completion, the INFO and OUT data sets are retained for age processing. For more information, see Automatic-aging-of-VSAM-work-data-sets. |
---|---|
YES | The INFO and OUT data sets are deleted at successful completion. When a failed UID is rerun with the NORESTART parm, +DELETEOUTPUT(NO) is used. |
Tip: For faster searching, add an asterisk to the end of your partial query. Example: cert*
