Installing BMC AMI DevOps on Jenkins


This topic describes how to install BMC AMI DevOps on Jenkins.

To install the product on Jenkins

You can use the following procedure for advanced installation of plug-ins on Jenkins:

  1. From the Dashboard in the Jenkins web user interface, navigate to Manage Jenkins > Manage Plugins > Advanced tab.
  2. In the Upload Plugin area:
    1. Click Choose File.
    2. Select BMC-AMI-DevOps-Db2-12.01.00.00nn.hpi, where 12.01.00.00nn represents the installed version number of the plug-in.
  3. Click Upload.
  4. After the plug-in is successfully installed, restart the Jenkins server.

To verify that the product is installed on Jenkins

After installing the product, use the following procedure to verify that the product is installed on Jenkins:

  1. From the Dashboard in the Jenkins web user interface, navigate to Manage Jenkins > Manage Plugins > Installed tab.
  2. Verify that:
    • The BMC AMI DevOps for Db2 plug-in is available in the list.
    • The correct version of BMC AMI DevOps is displayed.
    • The plug-in is enabled. Verify that for the BMC AMI DevOps for Db2 plug-in, the check box in the Enabled column is selected.
  3. If the plug-in is not installed correctly, reinstall it (see To install the product on Jenkins).
