Fields that occur multiple times

Some fields might occur multiple times in a given event record.

Example

The RACF command PERMIT allows the specification of up to 27 userids, and accordingly the resulting record field SMF80R12 might occur up to 27 times in a single SMF 80 record. If you specify a field that occurs more than once in a given record as an operand of FILTER or MATCH, then the comparison is evaluated as true if it is true for any one of the occurrences of the field; the comparison is evaluated as false if and only if it is false for all occurrences of the field.

Tip: For faster searching, add an asterisk to the end of your partial query. Example: cert*
