Requirements for encryption


To specify that you want encrypted copies in 

BMC AMI Copy

, you must:

  • Run BMC AMI Copy on a processor that supports encryption
  • Use the ENCIPHER option on the OUTPUT command that is used by the COPY and COPY IMAGECOPY commands
  • Use the KEYDSNAM installation option to specify your key data set name (Basic installation options)
  • Create and maintain the key data set (Key-data-set-requirements and Key-data-set-management)
  • Have the Recovery Management for Db2 solution and use a valid Recovery Management for Db2 password

 

Tip: For faster searching, add an asterisk to the end of your partial query. Example: cert*
