PARALLEL (numberOfObjects)

The PARALLEL keyword specifies the maximum number of objects in a list that

BMC AMI Copy

should process in parallel. You can adjust this value to a smaller value if

BMC AMI Copy

encounters storage constraints. The value of numberOfObjects can be any value from 0 through 32. The parentheses are optional.

PARALLEL has the same effect as MAXTASKS, which is an installation option and an option on the OPTIONS command (MAXTASKS=(1,AUTO) and MAXTASKS, respectively). When both PARALLEL and MAXTASKS are coded, BMC AMI Copy uses the highest value specified. If you specify PARALLEL 0 or if PARALLEL is not coded, BMC AMI Copy uses the value of MAXTASKS.

Important

Multitasking might require changes to the following DB2 DSNZPARMS:

  • CTHREAD (maximum users)
  • IDFORE (maximum users from TSO)
  • IDBACK (maximum number of concurrent attachments from batch)

For more information, see Specifying-multitasking.
