This topic describes the supported commands that you can edit and run directly from BMC AMI Command Center for Db2.

The HDDL command is available if you have a valid license for the BMC AMI Database Administration for Db2 solution.

Command

Description


CALL

Invokes a native or external stored procedure

BIND

Displays the BIND command for the selected package, plan, or collection ID

DCL

Displays the Data Control Language(DCL ) for the selected object

DDL

Displays the Data Definition Language (DDL) for a selected object

DELETE

Displays the DELETE command for a table, alias, or view

DISPLAY

Displays the status of the selected object

DROP

Displays the DROP command for the selected object

FREE

Displays the FREE command for the selected package or plan

HDDL

Displays the Hierarchical Data Definition Language (HDDL) for the selected object and its dependents

Use the DB2 Navigator options dialog box to determine which dependent objects are included in the DDL and how often commits are inserted. For more information, see Setting DB2 Navigator options.

HSTATS

Displays the Hierarchical Data Management Language for the selected object to migrate statistics to another Db2 subsystem

Use the DB2 Navigator options dialog box to determine which statistics are included and how often commits are inserted in the DML. For more information, see Setting DB2 Navigator options.

INSERT

Displays the INSERT command for a table, alias, or view

REBIND

Displays the REBIND command for the selected package, plan, or collection ID

SELECT

Displays the SELECT command for a table, alias, or view

START

Displays the START command for a database, table space, table, index, view, or stored procedure

STOP

Displays the STOP command for a database, table space, table, index, view, or stored procedure

TERM

Displays the TERM command for a BMC PLUS or IBM Db2 utility

Important

TERM of a BMC Utility requires DELETE authorization on the BMCUTIL, BMCUTIL2 , and BMCSYNC tables.

UPDATE

Displays the UPDATE command for a table, alias, or view
