Using the sample rule sets

BMC AMI DevOps for Db2

provides the following sample rule sets:

Name

Description

$BMC SAMPLE RULE SET

Provides good examples of how to define rules. You can also use this sample rule set to verify successful installation.

$BMC USRVARS SAMPLE RULE SET

Provides good examples of how to define rules with user-defined variables. The sample rule expressions are defined with the host variable equal to the user-defined variable.

You can use BMC AMI Command Center to view the contents of the sample rule sets. All of the views are read-only when viewing the sample rule sets. You can, however, make a full copy of the sample rule sets and copy a rule in a sample rule set to another rule set.
