Adding a package specification

Use the following procedure to add a package specification to your object set. 

To add a package specification

  1. In the Object Type menu, select Packages.
  2. In Object filter, enter a filter for the object type. You can use a name, or use the * and % wildcards.
  3. Select Include or Exclude for Type to define if objects that match the filter are included or excluded from the object set.
  4. In Partition select, choose how to include partitions in the object set:
    Option
    Description
    By space
    Include partitioned objects at index space or table space level. All partitions are included.
    By Partition
    Include partitioned objects by partition. All partitions are included.
    By Range
    Include a specific range of partitions.
  5. If you selected By Range, complete the following fields:
    Field
    Description
    Begin partition
    Select a beginning partition number.
    End partition
    Select an ending partition number.

  6. On the Related Objects tab, select from the following options:

    Field

    Description

    Include indexes for related objects

    Select this option to include indexes for related objects.

    Include objects related by referential integrity

    Select this option to include objects related by referential integrity.

    Include LOB objects

    Select one of the following values:

    • No (default)
    • Yes
    • Base (Base table only)
    • Only (Auxiliary tables only)

    Include XML objects

    Select one of the following values:

    • No (default)
    • Yes
    • Base (Base table only)
    • Only (Auxiliary tables only)

    Include objects associated by history relationship

    Select one of the following values:

    • No (default)
    • Yes
    • Base (Base table only)
    • Only (Auxiliary tables only)

    Include objects associated by archiving relationship

    Select one of the following values:

    • No (default)
    • Yes
    • Base (Base table only)
    • Only (Auxiliary tables only)
  7. Select the Object list tab. The list of objects that match the parameters entered is displayed. If you select Include, you can select objects from the list for exclusion by performing the following steps:
    1. In the Included Objects pane, select an object for exclusion.
    2. Click Exclude.
      The selected object moves from the Included Objects pane to the Excluded Objects pane.
    3. Repeat steps a and b until all objects for exclusion have been moved.
  8. Click OK to return to the Object Set Specifications.
