Troubleshooting secure browser sessions

This topic describes how to troubleshoot issues with logging on to BMC AMI Command Center and establishing a secure browser session.

Issue symptoms

You encounter issues, when you attempt to log on to BMC AMI Command Center under the following circumstances:

  • You are using User Interface Middleware (UIM).
  • You are using encryption (HTTPS) to communicate with the server.
  • UIM ENCRYPTION_LEVEL parameter is set to NO or CREDENTIALS-REQUIRED.

You might receive one of the following errors:

  • HTTP 403 Forbidden
  • BMC340297E Encrypted logon not allowed, request ignored

Resolution

To correct this issue, set the UIM ENCRYPTION_LEVEL parameter to one of the following values:

  • CREDENTIALS-IF
  • SSL-IF
