Logging on to BMC AMI Command Center for Db2
(BMC.DB2.SPE2307) If your site uses IBM Z Multi-Factor Authentication for z/OS (IBM Z MFA), you can log on to BMC AMI Command Center using the multi-factor authentication (MFA) method established for your site.
Before you begin
Verify that the following requirements are met:
- The required User Interface Middleware (UIM) server is running.
- You have an account with:
- Authorization to access the host where the UIM server is installed
- Suitable Db2 authorization for your requirements
- (BMC.DB2.SPE2307) You have a user ID and other authentication factors as required by your site.
- You know whether your UIM server uses HTTP or HTTPS. The UIM default is HTTP. To use HTTPS, you must configure the UIM server accordingly. For more information, see the following topics:
- You know the host name of the UIM server, and the port number on which the UIM server is listening.
- The BMC Execution Component for z/OS (DBC) started task is running and the BMC Configuration Component for z/OS (LGC) agent is active.
- If you are using a security package like IBM Resource Access Control Facility (RACF), or CA Technologies CA-ACF2 or CA-Top Secret, ensure that you know the ID and account details.
