+FLASHCOPY

The +FLASHCOPY parameter specifies whether FlashCopy is preferred or required. This is relevant only when the utility requests a FlashCopy, that is, FLASHCOPY YES on the REORG or (BMC.DB2.SPE2307) LOAD  statement.

The values are defined as follows:

REQUIRED

(Default) Specifies that the copy taken by the reorganization must be a FlashCopy image copy

If the volumes do not support FlashCopy, the reorganization or the load fails and no image copy is created.

PREFERRED

Specifies that the copy taken by the reorganization must be a FlashCopy image copy, but only if the volumes support FlashCopy.

If the volumes do not support FlashCopy or the FlashCopy process encounters an unexpected error, the Load utility creates a standard copy.
