Data set allocation automation control points

The automation control points that the following topics describe apply to allocation of Db2 VSAM data sets as well as other types of data sets.

All AMS DEFINE operations that BMC AMI Utilities perform (except space-specific DEFINE operations) are driven from a model DEFINE statement which you can customize and save to the checkpoint dataset. You can modify this member to set the basic format of the Managing-the-model-AMS-define

Unless otherwise noted, the variables for the data set allocation automation control points are read-only. The automation component ignores any changes that you make to the values of these variables.
