The Main Menu contains the following options:

  • Statement Cache reports on SQL statement cache statistics.
  • SQL Workload reports on current and historical SQL workloads, including totals and averages for accounting data.
  • Explain Interface displays the Explain Object Specification panel. From there, you can issue various types of EXPLAIN commands.
  • Application Profiles creates and modifies user-defined collections of plans, programs, correlation IDs, and users that represent the workload associated with a specific business function or individual.
  • Command Interface issues commands to the Data Collector, Db2, z/OS, and other BMC Software products (if applicable).
  • Archive Directory displays a directory of archived trace data sets and the IFCIDs they contain.
  • About Apptune displays copyright and trademark information about the BMC AMI Apptune for Db2 product, and Internet and e-mail addresses for BMC Software Sales and Customer Support.

The main menu that is displayed depends on which System and SQL Performance products and solutions are installed and active at your site. The main menu shown in the Apptune and Index Component Main Menu is displayed when Apptune is the only product installed. If multiple products or solutions are installed, the main menu that is displayed reflects the active product mix. The System and SQL Performance for DB2 main menu shown in Integrating-multiple-System-and-SQL-Performance-products is an example of a main menu that is displayed when multiple System and SQL Performance products are installed
