Accessing BMC AMI Ops Apptune from a MainView Explorer session


To use 

BMC AMI Ops Apptune

 with a graphical user interface (GUI), start 

BMC AMI Ops Apptune

 using this procedure.

Before you begin

In addition to the CAS and PAS, you need the MainView Explorer host server started task in order to access BMC AMI Ops Apptune from MainView Explorer. Check with your product administrator to ensure that the Host Server has been started. For instructions on starting the host server, see theAdministering.

To access BMC AMI Ops Apptune from a MainView Explorer session

  1. In a web browser, enter the URL http://host:port.For example, enter http://esaj:3954.

    The BMC MainView Explorer window is displayed.

  2. Enter your user TSO ID and password and click OK.
  3. In the Context tree (the Contexts by area pane of the navigation frame), select BMC AMI Ops Apptune as follows:
    1. Expand the Db2 node by clicking the plus sign (+) next to it.

    2. Expand subsequent nodes as needed to locate BMC AMI Ops Apptune and select it.

      Note

      The product names are identical to the CAS region names.

      Tip

      Alternatively, you can access BMC AMI Ops Apptune by clicking on the product name in the system tree (highlighted in the following figure) .

  4. Select a configuration or view:
    1. In the Product tree, double-click or right-click the product name to set the context (displayed in the following figure).

    2. Expand the Configurations and Views folders to display the BMC AMI Ops Apptune configurations and views in the Product tree (displayed in the following figure).

  5. Click EZ Apptune view (EZAPPT) to display the Apptune easy menu (EZAPPT).
