Messages CZA0200 through CZA0299

For BMC AMI Datastream products, this topic explains each message in the designated range.

Record description

Several BMC AMI Datastream for z/OS messages (such as CZA0227) contain a recordDescription placeholder that describes the SMF or API1 event record to which the diagnostic applies, such as in the following examples:

SMF Record type 102 subtype 63 of length 348 received from IEFU83
API Major type 'Vanguard' Minor type 1 (X'0001') of length 202

The contents of the recordDescription indicate the following information:

  • Major record type (either SMF or an API major code)
  • SMF record or API minor type number
  • Subtype (or IFCID number), if appropriate
  • Length of the record

For SMF records, the system exits from the record received. (API records are always received from the API1 interface.)

Important

A diagnostic routine derives the subtype.

Records with a subtype are always correct, but they might list an erroneous subtype for records with no subtype (such as SMF type 14 records).
