Preparing when RTCS is available on a system other than the one you are using new

Complete the following procedure:

  1. Perform one of the following actions:

    • Copy or move the Installation System data sets to a system on which Runtime Component System (RTCS) is available. The system on which you run the Installation System needs access to SMP/E to execute installation jobs.
    • Reconfigure RTCS so that it is available on the system on which you will run the Installation System.

    Warning

    Important

    • Make sure that the HLQ.TOSZLINK and HLQ.TOSZLOAD data sets are APF authorized.
    • If using RTE, make sure that the HLQ.BMCTOSZC and HLQ.BMCTOSZR data sets are APF authorized.
  2. Restart the Installation System and proceed with the installation.
