Migrate Db2 table data

The Installation System no longer supports data migration from earlier versions of the BMC product databases (repositories) to the current version. However, you can perform one of the following tasks, according to your requirement:

  • Specify new Db2 databases (repositories) during the installation process.
  • Reuse the existing BMC Db2 databases.

If you choose to reuse the existing Db2 databases, the Installation System upgrades the schema definitions to match the current release. The earlier releases of the BMC AMI Data for Db2 products are designed to work with the latest schema changes. Both the old and new versions of the products being installed can share the same product database.   

 

Tip: For faster searching, add an asterisk to the end of your partial query. Example: cert*
