Enabling or disabling the network browser command interface
You can enable or disable the Commands page, and you can also provide an active authentication with the session. When the ALLOW_NETCMD variable is set to AUTH, you must use the following command to log in:
http://uimServerHostName:uimPortNumber/UIMLogon
If the logon is successful, you can display the Commands page (http://uimServerHostName:uimPortNumber/htpcmd.html). For more information about the Commands page, see Managing-a-UIM-server.
To enable or disable the Command page
- Open your startup configuration member for editing.
From your startup configuration member, find the ALLOW_NETCMD variable.
By default, the network browser commands are processed by the UIM server, but you can disable them by setting the ALLOW_NETCMD value to NO.The following example shows the variable set to the default value:

- YES
Enables the Commands page. - NO
Disables the Commands page. - AUTH
Requires logging on to the Commands page.
