Changing the data set name for BMCHFS server-side storage

To change the BMCHFS data set name

  1. Open your startup configuration member for editing.

    Important

    The startup member name is typically the same as the started task procedure name for the UIM server.

  2. From your startup configuration member, find the HFS_DATASET variable.

    The HFS_DATASET variable contains the name of the data set used for UIM server server-side storage.
    The following example shows the variable:

     <bmc_parm id="HFS_DATASET" value="<hlq>.HFS" />
  3. Change the value of the high-level qualifier for HFS_DATASET to a value that meets your site standards.

 

Tip: For faster searching, add an asterisk to the end of your partial query. Example: cert*
