Defining the BMC AMI Ops Infrastructure CAS connection (optional)
To define a BMC AMI Ops Infrastructure CAS connection
- Locate the UIMM$PCH member in the UIM sample library.
Copy the UIMM$PCH member to your HLQ.customized.config library. Following is an example of the default UIMM$PCH member.
<BMCHTTP>
<!--
*** Assembler PCH for MVS and Windows -
Skeleton for INITPROCESS / TERMPROCESS ***
-->
<BMC_PRODUCT_FAMILY ID='MVI-PAS-STARTUP-ASSIST' >
<PRODUCT_CODE_HANDLER ID='UIM0UIPH'
MODULE='UIMMV00'
AFFINITY='ONLY' />
<!--
The Current BMC_PARM values passed are those needed by
BBM9XZZ0 (MVI Service Point Attach.) Others will be added
as new functionality is added.
-->
<BMC_PARM ID='SSID'
VALUE='BBCS' /> <!-- CAS to connect to -->
<BMC_PARM ID='XDM'
VALUE='NO' /> <!-- YES|NO -->
</BMC_PRODUCT_FAMILY>
</BMCHTTP>- Change the ID='SSID' parameter from BBCS to the subsystem ID of the BMC AMI Ops Infrastructure CAS with which you want UIM to communicate. The CAS that you identify receives threshold data that is pushed from Threshold Advisor.
- The ID='XDM' parameter indicates whether the UIM PAS should operate in extended diagnostic mode (XDM), which produces additional diagnostic messages. The default value is No. You should only change this value if instructed to do so by BMC Customer Support.
- Save the updated UIMM$PCH member.
Tip: For faster searching, add an asterisk to the end of your partial query. Example: cert*
