Starting RTCS manually

Use the following procedure to start RTCS.

Issue the following MVS operator command:S OSZINIT,SUB=MSTR

This command starts the RTCS Initiator, which internally starts the RTCS subsystem. The OSZINIT value is the name of the RTCS Initiator started task PROC that you selected in Creating-and-customizing-the-RTCS-Initiator-started-task-PROC.

Note

Ensure that the RTCS Initiator address space and the RTCS subsystem address space start successfully. The RTCS subsystem must be successfully initialized before you can proceed with the next configuration step.

 

Tip: For faster searching, add an asterisk to the end of your partial query. Example: cert*
