Creating a new UIM server

The UIM server's installation procedure copied, customized, and saved the sample startup procedure (#NORMAL) in your sample library. You might want to use #NORMAL to create additional UIM servers. For example, you must have a separate UIM server for each IBM z/OS system that you want to access. 

To create a new UIM server, perform the following procedures:

  1. Creating-a-startup-configuration-member.
  2. Creating-a-started-task-procedure.
  3. Defining-the-BMC-AMI-Ops-Infrastructure-CAS-connection-optional
  4. Securing-the-UIM-Server-with-RACF-optional
  5. Setting-up-the-web-services-definition-file.
  6. Enabling-and-disabling-password-caching.
