Example of the UIM client/server environment

The example in this topic depicts the UIM server running on an IBM z/OS system and interacting with a web-based console, which some BMC mainframe products use. 

Note

Depending on the console-enabled products that you have installed, you can install the UIM server on one system in a sysplex or on every system in a sysplex.
