Connectors


As the administrator, you allow mainframe users to log in to the BMC AMI Platform console by adding and configuring a host name to add a new z/OSMF connector.

To configure the z/OSMF connector

  1. From the menu in the left pane, select System management > Connectors.
  2. In the Connectors window, click + Connector.
  3. In the Add a new z/OSMF connector window, complete the following fields:

    You must enter the full host name for a new z/OSMF connector.

    You must enter a whole number.

    z/OSMF REST API URL with which the zConnector client communicates

    Warning
    Important

    The end point value must start with a slash (/) and contain 1 to 49 characters, without leading or trailing spaces.

    Additional settingsToggle off

    The following fields are available when you use the Additional settings toggle switch:

    User management group that mainframe (MF) users are associated with when they log in.

    For example, you can grant MF users access to the Knowledge hub by creating a group with the ai_knowledge_admin role and selecting that group.

    Connection status

    The following statuses are displayed during testing:

    • Connected—The z/OSMF connector is available.
    • Available—Connection is partial. The z/OSMF connector is available, but the login was unsuccessful. Verify credentials and authentication settings.
    • Unavailable—Connection failed. The z/OSMF connector is not available. Check the server settings and network connection.
  4. Click Add.
