Upgrading Cloud Data Sets

Upgrading Cloud Data Sets (CDSs) consists of three parts, which you must complete in the following order:

  1. Allocating a larger z/OS volume catalog and redefining dummy tape volumes by using the 4.0.01 version job. For more information, see Preparing-to-upgrade-Cloud-Data-Sets-from-version-3-3-00.
  2. Upgrading the CDS started task after upgrading the server and before upgrading the agent. For more information, see Performing-the-Cloud-Data-Sets-upgrade-from-version-3-3-00.
  3. Converting the CDS files format after you have upgraded all the components. For more information, see Converting-the-CDS-files-format
