Using XML files to create the Infrastructure Management cloud integrator

After running the codegen utility and configuring the Eclipse project, you must create certain XML files. The Infrastructure Management cloud integrator uses the these XML files to determine the appearance of cloud constructs in the operator console. You must create the following files:

  • CloudResources.xml: used to declare the static folders in the navigation tree under the Global folder
  • CloudCIConfigs.xml: used to configure cloud-based configuration item (CI) types for UI contents
  • Multipane.xml: used to render the multipane view when you click the Cloud Resources node in the navigation tree

Before creating the XML files

Set the following properties before creating the XML files:

  • In the \pw\custom\conf\pronet.conf file:

    bppm.cloud.resources.file=CloudResourcesvCloud.xml
    bppm.cloud.ci.config.file=CloudCIConfigsvCloud.xml
    pronet.topology.descriptor.filename=TopologyInfoForVCloud.xml

  • In the \pw\tomcat\webapps\pronto\jsp\swf\config\config.xml file:

    <multipaneConfig>/jsp/swf/config/multipanevCloud.xml</multipaneConfig>
