This is the latest documentation for BMC Helix Network Management (formerly known as Netreo).

System Diagnostics

This page is only available in a Netreo virtual appliance. It is not available for SaaS deployments.

The System Diagnostics page shows a variety of internal system values indicating if Netreo is operating as intended.

It is only available to users with the SuperAdmin access level.

To navigate to the System Diagnostics page, go to the main menu and select Administrator > System > Diagnostics.

Diagnostic Backup

System Diagnostics Diagnostic Backup.png

Allows Netreo SuperAdmins to create a tarball containing all diagnostic logs generated by Netreo. The generated tarball can then be sent to Netreo support for assistance with diagnosing problems with that Netreo deployment.

Click the Create Backup button to generate a new tarball. Before exporting its logs, Netreo checks the local disk availability to ensure that there is enough space to create the file. If enough space is not available, file creation fails with a message to free up space. Only one file can be created per day, and clicking the create button will overwrite that day's existing tarball with a new one.

To download the tarball file, click its name in the table. To delete it, click the delete button in the ACTIONS column.
