Performing the Agent for .NET installation silently
Deploy and configure the BMC Application Diagnostics Agent for Java on the computer before connecting it to the application server instance. The BMC Application Diagnostics Agent for .NET installation scripts are packaged with the BMC Application Diagnostics Installer. You use them to install the Agent in silent mode, as described in this topic, or the installation wizard.

Before you begin
Prepare the environment as described in Preparing-for-installation-Agent-for-NET.
To install the BMC Application Diagnostics Agent for .NET silently
- Copy and extract the files to a directory on the target computer so that the agent-silent-option.txt file is in the same folder as setup.exe.
- Open the agent-silent-option.txt file in a text editor.
- Enter the destination directory where the BMC Application Diagnostics Agent for .NET will be installed.
The default value is C:\Program Files\BMC Software\Application Diagnostics\Agent for .NET Enter the values for the following Agent configuration parameters:

- Enter a number to specify the type of tier this Agent represents in the Application View:
- 1 = App (Default)
- 2 = Business
- 3 = Web
Enter the values for the proxy server, if a proxy server is required:

In a command line, run the following command:
setup.exe /sThe /s parameter specifies the silent mode.
