Finding the connector designer configuration options in the new version of BMC Helix Connector Designer

The enhanced BMC Helix Connector Designer user interface makes it easier for you to design, configure, and test your connectors, and then deploy them to BMC Helix Integration Studio.

Old User Interface - Create connector

To create a new connector, select Connectors > New Connector.

The following table describes where you can find the connector designer configuration options in the new user interface, and the new options added.

Creating a connector

Build, Test, and Deploy connectors

	Select the connector from Connectors page, and click Manage Connectors.
Register Connector	Register connector functionality is now consolidated with the Start Connector option. If the connector is not registered to your BMC Helix Integration Studio account, the connector is registered before it is started, when you click Start Connector.
NA	(New option) Test Connector You can now test the connector directly from the BMC Helix Connector Designer, without downloading any files from BMC Communities.
Deploy tab	Manage Connectors > Deploy tab
	Select the connector from Connectors page, and click Manage Connectors.
Production	Deploy tab > Deploy Connector to Production Site

The following options are now available on the BMC Helix Connector Designer user interface:

Action	Description
View status of the configured Integration Studio site	The top navigation bar also displays the status of the configured Integration Studio site. The following icons represent the status of the integration controller: — The configured Integration Studio Site is configured and available. — The configured Integration Studio site is unavailable.
Locate connectors developed in older versions of the BMC Helix Connector Designer	enables you to find and add connectors developed in older versions of BMC Helix Connector Designer to the new BMC Helix Connector Designer.
