Finding existing connectors


BMC Helix Integration Studio includes connectors for popular BMC and third-party applications.

Who can view existing connectors?

Administrators and end users can view existing connectors.

  • Administrators can find existing connectors to manage them and to grant or prevent the end-user access.
    If you are an administrator, you can view all existing connectors from My Flows or from Catalog in the top menu of BMC Helix Integration Studio.

    Important

    Administrators can disable the end-user access to certain connectors. For more information, see Adding-or-updating-a-configuration.

  • End users can find existing connectors to understand which applications they can use to build flows.
    If you are an end user, you can view available connectors from My Flows in the top menu  of BMC Helix Integration Studio.

The following table lists connectors for BMC Helix Integration Studio. In the Connector type column, the connectors listed as Basic are included by default, and the connectors listed as Premium are available under a separate pricing plan.


To view connectors from the catalog

  1. Log in to BMC Helix Integration Studio and click Catalog.
  2. Depending on your user type, perform the following actions:
    • If you are an administrator, click the Connectors tab to see a list of available connectors.

    • If you are an end user, click All Applications or the Automate banner to see connector tiles.

      The content of the page might differ depending on what connectors are available in your tenant

      To view the existing connectors, administrators can follow the same steps as end users.

  3. (Optional) To search the collection, type the application name in Search Connectors.
  4. (Optional) On the Catalog page, click Filter by, and then click on a filter type and value to refine the collection. Available options are listed in the following table.

    State

    Shows connectors that are available to end users in BMC Helix Integration Studio. Administrators can access a connector regardless of its state. Refer to Adding or updating a configuration.

    Installed

    Shows connectors that have been installed on BMC Helix Integration Studio. If a connector is not installed, an Install button appears for it. Upon deployment to the production instance, custom connectors must be installed before they can be used to build flows. If a connector is already installed but a more recent version is available, an Update available button appears. Refer to Developing-connectors for information about creating custom connectors.

To view connectors from My Flows

  1. Log in to BMC Helix Integration Studio and click My Flows.
  2. To see connector tiles for available connectors, click All Applications allaps.png.
    The page with all connectors is displayed, as shown in the following example (the content of the page might differ depending on what connectors are available in your tenant):

  3. (Optional) To search the collection, type the application name in Search Connectors
