Remedy SSO overview

Remedy Single Sign-On (Remedy SSO) is an authentication system for a multi software environment that enables end users to present credentials for authentication only once. After Remedy SSO authenticates the end users, they are automatically authenticated to other applications protected by Remedy SSO, and they are not required to provide the credentials again.

As a Remedy SSO administrator, you can use any of the following methods to authenticate end users for applications integrated with Remedy SSO:

  • AR (AR System server)
  • SAML 2.0
  • LDAP
  • Kerberos
  • Certificate-based
  • Local (Remedy SSO server)
  • OAuth 2.0
  • OpenID Connect
  • Preauthentication

If Remedy SSO is integrated with Remedy AR System and if the password change functionality is enabled on the AR System server, end users can also change their AR passwords directly in the Remedy SSO login page.
