Configuring AR authentication

You can configure the Remedy Single Sign-On server to authenticate users through Remedy AR System.

Before you begin

  • Create a realm and configure its general settings. For more information on realm configuration, see Configuring Realms.
  • Obtain the following information from the Remedy AR System administrator:
    • Host name of the server where Remedy AR System is installed.
    • Port number of the Remedy AR System server.

To configure AR authentication

  1. In the left navigation panel of the Add Realm or Edit Realm page, click Authentication.
  2. In the Authentication Type field, click AR.
  3. Enter the following details of the Remedy AR System server:
    • Host
    • Port
  4. (Optional) Select Include tenant on user name for authentication.
You need to select this check box if a tenant is specified in the general settings of a realm. When you have this setting selected, when an end user enters the login name, the tenant name is automatically added at the moment of the authentication.
  1. (Optional) Select Allow users to change passwords, if you want to enable users to change their AR System access passwords directly from Remedy SSO end user login page.
    For more information, see
    Password-change-mechanisms.

  2. (Optional) Select a value in the User ID transformation list to configure how you would like to transform the User ID.
  3. (Optional) Click Enable Chaining Mode and perform the following steps to enable authentication chaining. For more information about the authentications that you can chain with Remedy AR System, see Enabling-authentication-chaining-mode.
  4. (Optional) Click Test to verify the settings.
  1. Click Save.
