Remedy AR System authentication

The Remedy AR System module allows Remedy Single Sign-On (Remedy SSO) to use the user accounts within a Remedy AR System server for authentication. You are required to provide only the host name and the port name to get the Remedy AR System authentication running.

The following table provides the BMC Remedy AR System authentication logon workflow:

Stage

Description

1

The Remedy SSO server determines that the Remedy AR System server-based authentication should be used.

2

The Remedy SSO web application redirects the user to the Remedy SSO Admin Console login page.

3

The user enters credentials. The Remedy AR System then checks if the credentials that are entered are valid.

4

The Remedy SSO server communicates with the Remedy AR System server to authenticate the user.

5

The Remedy AR System server confirms the user authentication.
