Exporting and importing BMC Helix SSO server configuration

As the BMC Helix Single Sign-On administrator, you can export or import configuration within the same BMC Helix SSO server. For example, you changed the realm configuration and want to revert to the previous configuration. The export and import functionality is designed to work across the same version of BMC Helix SSO. You cannot export and import data between different versions of the BMC Helix SSO server.  Your export and import includes all settings in the following BMC Helix SSO configuration sections:

  • General configuration
  • Realms along with their general settings, authentication settings, and branding
  • SAML templates

Importing an exported configuration overrides all previous configuration settings. 

To export and import BMC Helix SSO server configuration, use the Export and Import options in the BMC Helix SSO Admin Console:

Tip: For faster searching, add an asterisk to the end of your partial query. Example: cert*
