Managing agents
BMC Atrium Single Sign-On allows you to edit and delete agents from the Agent Manager. The names for the agent and user are based on the host name and port of the URL for the BMC product server where the agent resides. This name uses the following template:
BMCJEE<Agent>@<host>:<port> or <uri>@<host>.<port>
- host is the FQDN of the host.
- port is the main port number.
- uri is the URI of the application.
To edit an agent account
For information about the Agent Manager and agent parameters that can be modified, see Agent-manager-in-multi-tenant-environment.
- On the BMC Atrium SSO Admin Console, click Agent Details.
- Select the agent that you want to edit.
- Click Edit.
- Modify the parameters and click Save.
To delete an agent account
If a product has become unusable and the uninstall utility can no longer be used to perform an orderly cleanup and de-integration with BMC Atrium Single Sign-On, you might need to perform a manual cleanup.
- On the BMC Atrium SSO Admin Console, click Agent Details.
- Select the J2EE agent that you want to delete.
- Click Delete.
- On the BMC Atrium SSO Admin Console, select the user session that has the same name as the J2EE agent (if one exists).
- Click Invalidate Selected.
To manage agent certificates
You can create certificates again manually without reintegration of different BMC products with BMC Atrium Single Sign-On. For more information, see Managing-agent-certificates.
To enable agent logging
The agent code has a built-in mechanism which enables downloading of the agent configuration from BMC Atrium Single Sign-On regularly for updates.
You must perform the following steps to enable agent logging in the Mid Tier.
- On the BMC Atrium Single Sign-On Admin Console, click Agent Details.
- Select the agent for which you to enable logging.
- Click Edit.
- Change the log level to “Message”.
- Click Save.
The changes are effected in a couple of minutes. You may turn off the logging after completion of testing.
