Upgrading

This section provides information about upgrading BMC License Usage Collection Utility 2.0.00.

  • You do not have to manually uninstall a previous version of BMC License Usage Collection Utility before upgrading to version 2.0.00.  The installation process will automatically upgrade to the new version. 
  • When upgrading, run the installer as an administrator user.
  • During the installation process, you will have the option to maintain the deployment settings from the previous version, or overwrite them in the new version.

Before upgrading   

BSA 8.2 to 8.6

This section pertains to upgrading for BSA 8.2 to 8.6 only.

Before upgrading to BMC License Usage Collection Utility 2.0.00, BMC recommends that you delete any existing BSA deployments.  Then after upgrading, add a new deployment for BSA 8.2 to 8.6 with the required information so that the database scripts can gather the BSA license usage.  

 

Tip: For faster searching, add an asterisk to the end of your partial query. Example: cert*
