Integrating by using BMC Helix Intelligent Integrations

An organization with a huge IT infrastructure and global operations might have multiple tools to monitor and manage the performance and health of its infrastructure environment. Managing multiple and independent third-party monitoring tools might impact coherent monitoring.

As a tenant administrator, you can use BMC Helix Intelligent Integrations to integrate with third-party products (cloud-based, on-premises, or hybrid) to collect alert, event, metric, and topology data. You can view and derive actionable insights from this data in various BMC Helix applications such as BMC Helix Discovery, BMC Helix AIOps, and BMC Helix Dashboards. The capabilities such as topology reconciliation, root-cause isolation, and health dashboards offered by these applications help you understand the overall health of your infrastructure and pinpoint to the health issues down to the exact impacted entity. 

BMC Helix Intelligent Integrations includes out-of-the-box connectors for several third-party products. For a list of supported out-of-the-box integrations and the type of data you can collect from various third-party products, see Supported out-of-the-box integrations for BMC Helix Intelligent Integrations.

If an out-of-the-box connector is not available, use the generic collector to ingest events and metrics from any third-party monitoring tool. For more information, see Integrating with third-party products by using the generic collector via webhook.

Explore the available integrations

  1. Log on to BMC Helix Portal and click Launch on the BMC Helix Intelligent Integrations tile.
  2. Click add_icon.png in the SOURCES list to view the list of available third-party integrations.

Choose the BMC Helix Intelligent Integrations deployment mode and configure connections with third-party products.

Derive actionable insights

  • View key performance indicators and entities from all the integrated products on the Overview page of BMC Helix AIOps. The consolidated summary on the Overview page helps you to quickly visualize and assess the health of your infrastructure environment. For more information, see Monitoring key performance indicators and entities.

  • Monitor services and determine the most likely causes of any issue in an infrastructure environment by correlating millions of monitoring data points and analyzing the relationship between infrastructure nodes and services. For more information, see:
