Configuring the Kubernetes cloud connector

You configure the connector and the actions supported by the connector are displayed while creating a policy. When BMC Helix Intelligent Automation receives an event from BMC Helix AIOps or BMC Helix Operations Management for which you want to resize a deployment or delete a pod in Kubernetes cloud instance, you can create an automation policy to execute the specified actions.

BMC Helix Intelligent Automation supports creating policies for both Kubernetes on-premises and cloud deployments. You must configure a separate connector for both the deployments.

To configure the Kubernetes cloud connector

  1. In the BMC Helix Intelligent Automation console, click Connectors > Available Connectors
  2. From the list of available connectors, click Configure against the Kubernetes connector.
  3. Enter a unique name for the connector.
  4. Enter the Kubernetes API server endpoint.

    Note:

Ensure that you do not provide this endpoint while configuring the Kubernetes on-premises or any other connector.

  5. Enter the token required to connect with the Kubernetes cloud instance.
  6. Click Save.
The Kubernetes connector is configured and appears in the Configured Connectors tab with the status as Connected. If the connector is not successfully connected, the status appear as Disconnected. Click the Info Icon.png icon to view the error message and fix the issue.

Where to go from here

After configuring the connector, you can see the supported actions while creating a new policy. For more information, see Resizing-a-deployment.
