Changing the default role of users
Users in Remedy Smart Reporting have a default role assigned to them. If a customer does not assign any custom role as the default role, then the out-of-the-box Consumer & Collaborator role is assigned as the default role of the user. Additionally, an administrator can change the default role of multiple users after onboarding.
Scenario
Calbro Services has created a new role Report Consumer that allows the users only to view the reports but not edit the reports. Calbro Services wants to make this role as the default role for all the new users that are onboarded or synchronized in Remedy Smart Reporting.
The following diagram illustrates the user role change scenario:

- An administrator sets the Report Consumer as the default role of the users.
- Two users, Bob and Jesse are synchronized in Remedy Smart Reporting.
- Bob and Jesse have Report Consumer as the default role.
