Managing Remedy Smart Reporting user accounts


Through the Admin Console, administrators edit and delete users within the application. The users are added to Remedy Smart Reporting through the user sync utility. For more information, see Automatically-synchronizing-Remedy-AR-System-users-to-Remedy-Smart-Reporting

Note

If a user is present in Remedy Smart Reporting but not in Remedy AR System, then it may cause certain discrepancies. We recommend adding users in Remedy Smart Reporting by using the user sync utility.

To view the Users list

  1. Log in to Remedy Smart Reporting as an administrator. 
  2. Open the left side panel, and select Administration > Admin Console.
  3. Expand the Users panel.

    You can browse all users in Remedy Smart Reporting.

To search for users

  1. Open the Users panel on the Admin Console page.
  2. Type the user's first or last name in the search box.
    A list of users matching your query is returned.

If a user does not appear in search results, ensure the following:

To edit a user

  1. Open the Users panel on the Admin Console page.
  2. Open the drop-down list next to the user's name, and select Edit.

  3. On the Update User page, make the necessary changes.
  4. Click Update User.

Note

If you change the password of a user in Remedy Smart Reporting, it does not get changed in Remedy Action Request System. Additionally, the user sync utility does not overwrite the password from Remedy AR System to Remedy Smart Reporting.


To change a user's role

  1. Open the Users panel on the Admin Console page.
  2. Open the drop-down list next to the user's name, and select Change Role > roleName.

To delete a user

  1. Open the Users panel on the Admin Console page.
  2. Open the drop-down list next to the user's name, and select Delete.
  3. Select one of the following options:

    • Delete all private content
    • Migrate content to selected user

    If you select Migrate content to selected user, make sure the correct user name is in the field.

  4. Click Delete.
